MOSCOW: Russia said Sunday it was pushing into Ukraine鈥檚 eastern Dnipropetrovsk region in a significant territorial escalation of its three-year military campaign.

The defense ministry said forces from a tank unit had 鈥渞eached the western border of the Donetsk People鈥檚 Republic and are continuing to develop an offensive in the Dnipropetrovsk region.鈥�
